A stroll around the block

Yesterday, my good friend and I went for a walk through Munmorah State National Park. This is a beautiful part of the world to visit.

The beaches are amazing with fantastic surf. There are plenty of walking tracks and lots of beautiful wildlife. You can camp here, the camping grounds are well maintained with excellent facilities.

Our walk ended a good 8km later when we arrived back home with aching feet , but we did see some lovely wild life, a Red Belly Black snake and a nice sunset  that left me some good shots! What a great way to wrap up 2011.

Enjoy.

Happy New Year and all the best for 2012.

At first glance

Before leaving to explore the world later next year, I need to polish my photography skills. I recently purchased my first DSRL a Canon 60D.

Over the next few months I'll post my images, as I take short trips locally, improving my skill set and capturing some moments of stillness at the same time.

The first day I got my camera I took some images of the family and friends pets.

The following images were taken on Christmas eve at Cathrine Hill Bay, Central Coast NSW.

These Images were taken on Boxing Day at Box Beach Shoal Bay, North Coast NSW.
